The Forest
A downloadable game
In an ill-fated forest so impenetrable that sunlight can shine no more, lies the LeBlanc mansion. Its owner, Lysander LeBlanc, was cast out by his own family. He is rumored to only welcome male guests into his home. No guest that has entered, has ever returned.
Now you, Lyam, and your dear sister, Mallory, have received an invitation.
THE FOREST is a project I've been wanting to bring to life for a long time. The Queer Vampire Jam has helped me gather the courage to make a demo for it. For this reason, most of the graphics so far are placeholders. The story, however, isn't over: if you enjoy rpg games and queer romance, please follow the games development.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: The game contains depictions of blood, violence, and murder. It also contains homophobic remarks. Keep in mind that I myself am a queer man, and I do not promote these remarks.

Hi there, I hope you don't mind that I made a Let's Play video.
Hi! I don't mind at all, I really appreciate it ♡ thank you so much for playing!
Hello! Thank you so much for your video. It was a lot of fun to watch. I'm so happy you like it! It looks like Syryus is everyone's favorite character ♡ He is definitely going to get more scenes in the full version. Stay tuned!
The story was really interesting, and I greatly look forward to uncovering everything that is happening in the LeBlanc manor in the full version. (Although I have to admit that I was actually pretty shocked and horrified about what happens to Mallory 😰)
I look forward to seeing what sorts of ending(s) are in store for Lyam/the player!
I also really liked the characters. Particularly Syryus (he's just so adorable and sweet) but all of them were enjoyable to interact with. They all have very distinct and interesting personalities.
(as an aside, the character designs are gorgeous!)
I'm very excited for the full game!
You're doing an awesome job with The Forest. Keep up the good work.
Hello, it'so nice to see you again! Thank you so much for the video.
First of all, I'm so sorry about that letter. I'm a very fast reader, so I didn't realize how fast it was until my friends tested the game and noticed, but by then I had already published it. I'll definitely go back and slow it down when I release more of the game.
I'll also make sure to fix that little issue with the cutscene with the repeated dialogue as soon as Lyam and Mallory get in the mansion. I was aware of the issue before I published the game, but I didn't have enough time to fix it before the deadline.
I'm glad you liked Syryus! I noticed you were curious about his pronouns. He goes by he/him (and so do Lysander and Lyam).
Thank you again for playing the demo and for your feedback. I'm excited to fix all the issues you encountered and release more of the game in the future. I don't have a date yet unfortunately, but I'll work hard on it and try to post updates about the developement as I go!
Hello!
No worries about the letter. It will be nice to have it slowed down a bit for the full release (although I think if I wasn't trying to read it out loud it might have been fine ^^; But I'm not really good at speaking and reading terribly fast.)
It happens! Game jams usually have pretty tight deadlines, so it's never a bother if there are little issues like that. The demo was honestly really polished. There weren't a lot of glitches or issues at all!
Thank you for telling me all of the character's pronouns. I never want to just assume, even for a fictional character, so I definitely appreciate it.
It was a lot of fun to play! I look forward to the full game in the future, and I'll keep an eye on your development updates!
Take your time and have fun making it. This game has a cool concept and it's really enjoyable so far.
